Resources for Pastors
Monday Manna is a monthly pastor’s fellowship at the end of each month for a time of ministry refreshment and encouragement. We feature special guest speakers to address topics of interest and include a free lunch.
If you’re a ministry leader and you feel your church struggling, or you are feeling ministerial tension or burnout symptoms, then reach out to our offices for a consultation with our AMS or a ministry team to best meet your needs.
Is your church looking to hire someone to meet their ministry needs? Are you a qualified candidate looking to use your gifts on staff at a local church? Check out our Job Board!
We also have resources for churches who find themselves in an interim position, including Search Committee training and a list of qualified pulpit supply!

COLLEGE
Holston Baptist churches, together with the churches of the surrounding Tennessee Baptist associations and campus minister Dr. Jonathan Chapman work together to Make Christ Known to the 14,000+ university students at ETSU and local community colleges. Baptist Collegiate Ministry is accomplished through evangelism, discipleship, worship, missions, and local ministry, while involving collegians in meaningful leadership.
STUDENT MINISTERS
This is a free event for youth pastors and youth workers with the goal to Encourage one another through singing and teaching of the Word, Equip one another for the work of youth ministry through the sharing of ideas and resources, and Engage with one another through roundtable discussion on various youth ministry topics.
Resources for Church Administration & Cooperation
Our Bi-Annual Meetings are the primary cooperative arm of the HBA. At these meetings, churches who cooperate with our association send messengers to work together on reaching Northeast Tennessee and the world for the cause of Christ. At these meetings, messengers gather to pray, hear reports from mission and ministry teams, and vote on proposals on the use of associational resources for the accomplishment of the Great Commission together.
We typically meet once in the Spring and once in the Fall.
The Executive Board of the HBA is composed of representatives from our associated churches, usually one pastor and one member-at-large. At Executive Board Meetings, members can expect a discussion that is more focused on the operations and business of the association between bi-annual meetings.
The Executive Board usually meets in January and July.
Your Church Counts!
As your church works to keep accurate records, we at the HBA have resources available to help you understand and complete the worksheets in a timely and efficient manner, so you can keep your ministry stride.
